The catalogue is already built. The intelligence is already there. What you bring is knowledge of your specific classrooms — and confirmation of what exists in them.
Your school is created.
We set up your school profile, your classroom types, and give you access. Your Lead Guides and Administrator receive their invitations.
We do this together, on a call. You don't configure anything blind.
Each classroom is confirmed.
Working with each Guide in turn, you open the catalogue for their classroom type and work through it — confirming what exists, noting what doesn't, flagging any intentional deviations.
This takes one to three sessions per classroom depending on size. Most schools complete their first classroom in under two hours.
Observations begin.
Guides start recording observations in the normal course of their work. The record begins to grow from daily reality, not from a data entry project.
There is no separate training exercise. The interface is designed to be obvious to someone who has already spent time in a Montessori classroom.
The first stock take.
A structured walk through each classroom, guided by MAT. Items are confirmed or noted. The first evidence record is signed.
By this point, Guides are already comfortable with the rhythm. The stock take is a confirmation of work already done, not a separate project.
No school has ever been overwhelmed.
The most common surprise from schools that have come through onboarding is not how hard it was — but how fast the record began to feel like theirs. The catalogue gives you the structure. Your school's knowledge fills it in. By month two, it's already proving its value.
Common questions.
Do we have to build our inventory ourselves?
No. MAT starts with the Montessori catalogue — the materials that belong in each classroom type. You confirm what you have. You never build a list from nothing.
How much time will it take?
Most schools complete their initial classroom confirmation in two to four weeks, working in short sessions alongside their normal programme. The initial onboarding call takes about an hour. After that, MAT becomes part of the daily rhythm — not an extra project.
What if our classrooms are different from the catalogue?
Intentional deviations are expected and supported. The catalogue is a reference, not a prescription. You can note that a classroom deliberately does not include certain materials, or includes materials not in the standard model.
Do Guides need to be technical?
No. The interface is designed for people who think about prepared environments, not software. If you can use a tablet and a Montessori observation notebook, you can use MAT.
