About
Built from inside
the classroom.
MAT began with a familiar problem: knowing exactly what a Montessori classroom has, what it's worth, and what it needs — without reconstructing that knowledge from memory every time it matters.
It was built by a Montessori educator and school owner with more than two decades in the classroom — someone who has experienced firsthand what happens when a Lead Guide leaves and takes the classroom's institutional memory with them. What happens when a broker asks for replacement values and the answer is a rough estimate from a three-year-old spreadsheet. What happens when a new environment is set up from scratch because no one documented the last one.
The answer to all of those problems is the same: a record you can trust. Not a spreadsheet. Not a filing cabinet. A living, intentional record of the environment, built from the same model of authenticity that governs every Montessori prepared environment.
Endorsed by
Children's House
MAT is an endorsed platform of Children's House — created to help every Montessori school steward its Prepared Environments with the same intentionality with which they were built. The relationship isn't a badge. It's the reason the catalogue knows what it knows, and the reason the software thinks the way it thinks.
MAT is not a product made about Montessori by people who admire it from the outside.
It is a tool made from Montessori, by people who understand what the Casa dei Bambini actually is — not as a room of materials, but as a prepared, living environment that bears responsibility to the children who work in it and the community that sustains it.
Eight principles
The values that inform every decision.
Reference
Every material has a home in the Montessori model before it exists in your classroom.
Observation
The classroom's story is written as it happens, not reconstructed from memory.
Stewardship
Caring for the environment is as intentional as preparing it.
Continuity
Knowledge belongs to the school, not to any one person in it.
Rhythm
Maintenance follows a natural cycle — not a crisis.
Evidence
Confidence comes from what is known, not what is remembered or guessed.
Transparency
Every stakeholder sees the same facts, presented for what their work needs.
Respect
For the materials, the environments, the children, and the people who care for all three.
